Paintball is a sport in which participants use a "marker" for shooting paintball (the size of marbles, 68 caliber, gelatin capsules filled with colored paint to the other players. The sport was introduced in the 1980's and became famous so fast. This sport can be played indoor or outdoor in a variety of styles. There are no specific rules in this game.


 Paintball is a sport where players shoot paintball at each other and when players re hit they are out of the game. The basic goal of paintball is o remove players from the game and capture the opponents flag and return it to the home base.

 It is up to the objectives, strategy and imagination of the player itself. This sport uses many types of equipment and unique when compared to other extreme sports. In fact, it uses its own weapons in communication between players. Contrary to some opinions, paintball is one of the safest sports and only played by people with various skills.

There are three general types of paintball play:

• speedball- where teams compete against each other at a very fast pace (3-6 minutes). This tournaments format is very youthful and typically is a best of 7, with points assigned to hits, returning the flag to home base, and also involves penalties. Can be played recreational or professionally and tournament are usually set up for 3, 5, 7 or 10 player
• woodsball paintball- which players in scenario, or story and may include historical re-enactments, futuristic or video game simulations. The format here is all the players participate in a game at the same time, typically broken into two major groups. When players are hit, they have a waiting period after which they can reinsert into the game. These events typically last a full day and the players are older than speedball players.
• recreation paintball- take place at specific paintball field where the field will provide rental, air, etc. for payers that not have their own equipment. The usual game here is to eliminate players and capture the flag. Its typically very relaxed and casual and casual and players usually play 4-6 games within a 4 our time span, resting in between games.
